Whether you’re looking for an outdoor study break or a fun outing with friends, you can rent two single kayaks or a double kayak for 50% off every Thursday, all season long. Just minutes from UBC, Jericho Beach Kayak Centre offers an incredible paddling experience with scenic beaches and mountain views. There’s no better way to experience Vancouver’s coastline! This special offer is exclusively available through online bookings (no walk-ins or phone reservations).
We’ve set aside a limited number of spots each time slot, with up to six single kayaks and four doubles available at the discounted rate. The offer is open to all high school and post-secondary students! You will be asked to show a valid student ID when you check in for your booking. Regular rental policies and age restrictions still apply, and the discount can’t be combined with other offers.
Availability is limited, so we recommend booking early to lock in your paddle time!
All kayak rentals include a paddle, PFD, whistle, spray skirt, bailing device and 15m of tow line, and all single kayaks have double bulkheads.

*Kayakers wishing to paddle alone (1 person solo on the water) must have experience doing a solo re-entry (for example by having taken our Beginner Course)

Group Policy
For the best experience and to optimize safety we do limit kayak rental groups to a maximum up to six single kayaks and four doubles per time slot (by the hour). If your group is larger please contact us to inquire about our group paddling options
Booking Policy

If participant is under 19, a parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver!

In any case, we do appreciate it if you could let us know sooner than later if you are planning to cancel so we can give your spot to somebody else if possible.
