Level 1 Instructor Course
This program is for committed ocean kayak instructors. Over 4 days we cover how to comprehensively and confidently teach a Level 1 Sea Kayak skills course in the nationally recognized Paddle Canada Program. Upon completion, you’ll join a group of committed and passionate paddlers across the country. In this instructor course, we build on teaching proficiency and perfect demonstration-quality strokes. Lesson planning and safety are the foundations of this course.

Prerequisites
Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills Certification.
It is also recommended that you start by taking the Basic Instructor Course first.
To get the Paddle Canada Instructor Certification you will also need to register with Paddle Canada as an Instructor Candidate ($99 annual fee) and have a minimum of Standard First Aid with CPR-C.
We highly recommend taking the 20h or 40h Wilderness First Aid course with Coast Wilderness Medical Training.
