Online Trip Planning
Take advantage of those long winter nights and get ready to plan (and dream) about next year’s kayaking trips!
Who this course is for
Beginners and experienced kayakers alike who are planning either day trips or overnight kayak trips.
We also highly recommend this course for anybody who aspires taking the Paddle Canada Level 2 Kayaking course. This series gives you an excellent introduction to many of the concepts in regards to trip planning covered in the Level 2 course.
Why this course is so important
Being on the water, exposed to Mother Nature, means when things do go wrong, and they can go very wrong, very quickly.
Almost all the time, a lack of trip planning or adequate ocean knowledge is the reason people get into trouble.
How this course is offered
This course is offered through zoom over 4 weeks (one night per week). Running this course over zoom means that you get to enjoy this course from the comfort (and warmth) of your own home while still getting to directly learn from and interact with our fantastic instructor(s), connect with other participants and are able to have all your questions answered.
In addition to the course itself, we share comprehensive handouts after each session which include all the information we share and more as well as (optional) practice exercises. You can be sure that you leave this course with all the information needed and resources to keep referring to when you plan your own trips.
Please note that (to ensure the privacy of our participants) we do not record the sessions. If you know that you will miss a session please contact us and we can find a solution that works for you!
