Beginner Skills Camp
—Registration for our 2023 summer camps is now open!—
This camp is for youth aged 10–14 who want to learn kayaking skills and have fun in an ocean environment. Accompanied by their peers and enthusiastic Paddle Canada–certified instructors, campers will enjoy five engaging half-days of exploration, excitement, and skill development. We will attempt (weather depending) to certify your child with a nationally recognized paddling certification (Paddle Canada Basic Kayaking Skills).
Fundamental skills such as boat handling, safely capsizing, and re-entering their kayak will prepare campers for short paddles in sheltered waters.
We supply each paddler with their own kayak, wetsuit, safety gear, and all other equipment needed to make this summer the adventure of a lifetime.
Rates
5 half-day camps: $285
4 half-day camps (week of June 27 and August 2): $228

Prerequisites
No experience or swimming ability is needed, but it helps if your child is comfortable in the water!

In any case, we do appreciate it if you could let us know sooner than later if you are planning to cancel so we can give your spot to somebody else if possible.
