Full-Day Fun Kayak + Coastal Adventures Camp
2024 Summer Camp registration is now open!
Camp Overview
Our full-day Fun Kayak + Coastal Adventures Camp for kids 7-10 years old is all about exploring the marine environment both on and off the water. Campers will enjoy a perfect balance, spending half their day on the water learning how to kayak and the other half on shore.
On the Water: We will spend our mornings on the water paddling as well as exploring the coastline. Campers will get the opportunity to paddle their very own sea kayak in a safe, fun environment.
On Land: After a fun morning on the water, we will spend the afternoon on shore. On the shore, we’ll dive into the fascinating world of intertidal life, do crafts, learn and practice navigation and orienteering skills and spend time connecting with the other campers and the outdoors.
What to Expect:
Kayaking Adventures
Your child will have the opportunity to learn to paddle their very own sea kayak. They will learn all about their kayaks as well as how to maneuver them to go on short kayaking adventures in our protected bay.
Nature Exploration
Our camp isn’t just about kayaking; it’s about connecting with nature. Campers will spend time on the beach exploring the inter-tidal area and learn about what lives in and around the ocean, all while appreciating the environment they’re exploring.
Team Building
Through fun and interactive activities, your child will develop strong bonds with their fellow campers and gain important teamwork skills. Friendships formed here often last beyond our camps!
Educational Fun
Our camp offers a perfect blend of learning and recreation. Your child will gain a deeper understanding of waterways, ecosystems, and the importance of preserving our natural environment.
Safety First
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All our camp counsellors are Paddle Canada and First Aid certified. We provide the necessary equipment and thorough safety instructions, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience on the water. If the conditions aren’t safe to go out on the water we will ensure your child still has a great time exploring and learning all about the intertidal zone.
Give your young adventurer the opportunity to build confidence, make new friends, and create unforgettable summer memories
